In 1974, outside the city of Xi'an, China, archaeologists made one of the greatest discoveries of the 20th century. Thousands of life-size clay figures were buried in massive underground pits to accompany China's first emperor, Qin Shihuangdi, into the afterlife. Now you can stand face-to-face with some of these soldiers, charioteers, archers, musicians, generals and acrobats at the exhibit "Terra Cotta Warriors: Guardians of China's First Emperor". The National Geographic Museum in Washington, D.C. will be the last stop in the United States for this exhibition. Don't miss your chance to see it!
